Newcastle player ratings: Attack

LW: Anthony Gordon (7.5/10) - Gordon was taking on Walker at every chance he got and scored a world-class goal to give Newcastle the lead in this game. He was rapid with his pace and was causing problems for Kyle Walker.

  • SUB: Lewis Hall (NA/10) - Came on for Anthony Gordon in the 86th minute of the game and had very little to do with the outcome of the game.

ST: Alexander Isak (6.5/10) - Scored a brilliant goal to get Newcastle back in the game. What a finish that one was and his rapid pace was causing immense problems from City's backline. However, in the second half, he seemed to fade away. Overall, it was a decent game for Newcastle's striker.

RW: Miguel Almiron (6.5/10) - Almiron in this game was full of energy as a ran for everything. He gave a tough time to Gvardiol who looked out of position many times. His partnership with Trippier was a treat to watch for many Newcastle fans. He should have scored the opener for the Magpies in the opening 10 minutes of the game if he was a bit calm.
