It’s going to be an exciting summer for Newcastle United fans that live in the United States. Originally reported in April, the Magpies will be traveling to the States to play three Premier League clubs.

Those clubs will be Aston Villa, Brighton and Chelsea, three teams that Newcastle knows very well.

Alongside Newcastle, six other clubs will be traveling to take part in different contests across five East Coast locations in the United States between July 22-30. Those contests will be held through a variety of stadiums in the likes of Georgia, New Jersey, Florida, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

The first contest the Magpies will be playing will have them taking on Aston Villa at Lincoln Field, which is the home of the NFL’s, Philadelphia Eagles.

For their second game, former MLS superstar turned Magpie, Miguel Almiron, will be playing in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which resides in Atlanta, Georgia. The site will host Premier League foes, Newcastle and Chelsea.

Lastly, for the third and final game of their trip across the globe, Newcastle will take on Brighton at Red Bull Arena, which sits in New Jersey.

These three games are hoping to bring attention to the growing team who currently sit in third place in the Premier League.

With the team also clinching an appearance in European league play in the 2023-24 season, the Magpies will have a lot on their plate over the next year.

“We know the quality of the opposition will be strong, and the matches will be highly competitive as we prepare for next season,” said Manager Eddie Howe.

Howe will most certainly have his hands full as he prepares to get the team ready for the coming offseason, not to mention the potential moves the team can make to bring in an influx of talent.
