With a fresh confidence from their win over the weekend, Newcastle United will get back in action tomorrow vs. Crystal Palace. Just like against Everton, the Magpies will be looking to take the double from their Premier League foe after Callum Wilson and Joelinton provided the goals in a 2-0 win earlier this season.

Player to Watch

Newcastle United: Allan Saint-Maximin

Everything is just better for Newcastle when their flashy French winger is on the pitch. He made an impact again off the bench vs. Everton and according to Steve Bruce, he may be ready for a start tomorrow. It would be a massive boost for the Magpies to get anywhere close to 90 minutes from arguably their biggest star.

Crystal Palace: Wilfried Zaha

As has been true over the last few years for Crystal Palace, Zaha is the focal point for every opposing club. He’s essentially a combination of the speed and skillful dribbling of Saint-Maximin and the finishing ability of Callum Wilson. Newcastle has actually found success in limiting Zaha’s impact, only conceding two goals to him in ten matches. Tomorrow, they will need to make it tough again for the man with nine goals already this season.

NUFC Availability Update

In addition to hinting at a potential start by ASM, Bruce stated that Ciaran Clark and Paul Dummett will be available. But, on the other side of the equation, Jamaal Lascelles will be out for a few weeks and Ryan Fraser was sick over the weekend and couldn’t train on Sunday, seemingly leaving his status in doubt.

Newcastle United will win if…

They put pressure on a shaky defense for Crystal Palace. Outside of West Bromwich Albion, there is no club in the Premier League that has conceded more goals than Palace this season (tied with Leeds for second-most in the EPL). After breaking out of their slump vs. Everton and potentially getting a starting performance from ASM, Newcastle should have their foot on the gas in the attack vs. Roy Hodgson’s club from the opening whistle.
