The Premier League’s relegation battle this season will likely come down to the final weeks of action, as clubs aim to gain the critical points needed to remain in the top flight. For West Bromwich Albion, the bottom of the table will be even more difficult to escape with only six games left in the campaign and a new manager at the helm.
The Baggies and Alan Pardew agreed to mutually terminate their contract together, as the team struggled to find any consistency since the 56-year-old took over in November. Not long ago the Premier League’s Manager of the Season with Newcastle United, Pardew led West Brom to few results and little overall inspiration.
A run of nine consecutive defeats across all competitions confirmed that this relationship simply could not go on any longer. Darren Moore will guide the squad for the coming weeks in a caretaker role.
English football can be a cruel game in regards to managers, but ultimately results must be produced at some point.
Pardew experienced success at other clubs, such as Newcastle and Crystal Palace. Unfortunately, both of those stops ended on poor terms.

What to expect later this month
West Brom visit St. James’ Park on April 28, and could be facing a very confident Toon side that have won two consecutive Premier League fixtures.
Almost assuredly set for a season in the Championship, the visitors may not have much to play for.
Manager Rafa Benitez must have his team ready to exploit this potential weakness and not miss out on what could be three crucial points.
