Newcastle United have had a number of players who haven’t been able to live up to the hype.

Scouting talent is an imperfect science, and while they have had some hits, there have been some misses too.

Players like Yohan Cabaye were a Tyneside revelation, while others have failed to set the world alight. This is especially true of youngsters, who have a long way to develop.
