It's the 90th minute. Newcastle United leads PSG 1-0 and is in the perfect position to advance to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League. The Magpies are holding on to earn their second win against the Paris giants this season, but a penalty is given to PSG for a handball on Tino Livramento. Kylian Mbappé buries his penalty past Nick Pope and the game ends in a draw. Regardless of the penalty decision, Newcastle now face the possibility of dropping out of the Champions League.

Newcastle will need a win against AC Milan at St. James' Park on December 13. The Magpies also need Borussia Dortmund to defeat or tie with PSG; both games will be happening at the same time. Newcastle tied with AC Milan 0-0 earlier this season in what was a one-sided game. Milan attempted 25 shots with nine of them testing Pope. It will not be an easy game for the Magpies, but at St. James' Park, anything is possible. The Geordie faithful have seen strong wins there already this season over Manchester City, PSG and Arsenal.

PSG won the first fixture against Dortmund 2-0 in Paris. This time in Germany, Dortmund will have the upper hand despite their inconsistent form this season. Newcastle could not get a result against Dortmund in both group stage games and struggled but will now rely on the German side to help them.

If Newcastle bow out of the Champions League, they can still play in the Europa League if they finish in third place in Group F. Another opportunity for a trophy for Eddie Howe's side. Whether or not Newcastle exit the competition, the 4-1 win against PSG will never be forgotten and will go down in history.
