And, according to Fichajes, Newcastle United could be looking to sign Goncalo Inacio from Sporting CP next summer. The Portuguese club will look for a substantial fee for their star defender. But, next summer, Newcastle might have cash to spend. Thus, this signing is more likely than ever.

Sporting CP wants £50m for Inacio. He was also on the radar for Manchester United  But, there is another Premier League club that wants the Portuguese defender. Yes, Liverpool are also eyeing a move for him to replace Virgil van Dijk.

Inacio’s contract with Sporting runs until 2027. And, his release clause is £50m. Therefore, the club that will trigger this release clause will sign the player. Liverpool will give tough competition to Newcastle for Inacio next summer.
