Newcastle United will be involved in yet another Premier League fixture against a "big six" team, with another opportunity to prove themselves amongst the Premier League's most elite teams. Last season, they were involved in a tussle for Champions League football with Manchester United and it was the same fixture in the Carabao Cup final. Now, the Magpies will be seeking nothing but three points in their bid to qualify for UCL football once more.

Newcastle team news
It comes as no surprise to know that Newcastle are going through an injury crisis. The long-term injuries remain the same - Harvery Barnes, Sven Botman, Elliot Anderson, Jacob Murphy, Dan Burn and Callum Wilson are all ruled out for Eddie Howe.
Sean Longstaff faces a race against time, with the English midfielder missing our last two matches. It looks like he should be fit and available for this match, but as usual, Eddie Howe doesn't give much away until he knows for certain.
Joe Willock remains a doubt for this match, but nothing's stopping him from coming back in time to slot into the midfield.
Sandro Tonali is still facing his ban for breaching betting rules during his time in Italy, so he won't feature.
Manchester United team news
Manchester United are not without their own injury concerns. Summer signing Mason Mount is facing a long-term spell on the treatment table, so he won't come to St James Park. Lisandro Martinez also faces a long time out of contention, alongside midfield pair Casemiro and Christian Eriksen.
Rasmus Hojlund has also missed two games for Manchester United, but he could be back in time to face Newcastle, depending on what happens in United's Champions League match on Wednesday night.
Defensive duo Jonny Evans and Tyrell Malacia are doubtful, with the former suffering a strain injury and the latter also injured.
