Newcastle vs Manchester United: Eddie Howe given MASSIVE boost from the away camp
By Kian Long
St James' Park will host the historic fixture of Newcastle vs Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend. In a game which is guaranteed to bring some attacking delight given both side's necessity to win the game, neutral fans can expect plenty of excitement.
From Eddie Howe's perspective, though, he would rather play a contained game by taking an early lead and seeing it through to three points at the end of the match. Given the injury crisis which is ongoing at St James Park with several key players missing for the home side, he will need all the fortune he can get in this match.
Both teams were involved in Champions League football in midweek. It looks unlikely that either side will progress to the knockout stages with both English teams relying on the other matches within their groups to see them through. However, there is a positive to take in this regard from Newcastle's perspective, with us having one more day to prepare for this weekend's fixture.
While one day isn't much on paper, we have seen time and time again that the Premier League can be decided by tiny margins, so this may be one of those margings working in our favour.

Newcastle vs Manchester United: Eddie Howe given MASSIVE boost from the away camp
From the two respective matches, Man United will certainly feel the most fatigued. Their draw against Galatasary involved plenty of goals and poor game management by the manager Erik ten Hag. With this in mind, NUFC Blog has predicted it will work in our favour come matchday on Saturday.
Their reason for this claim is that Newcastle will be out for blood after our draw in midweek was much more unjustified than United's. In many ways, we were robbed by poor officiating so we will seek revenge in the Premier League. Howay the Lads!
