Newcastle vs Manchester United: 3 CRUCIAL players to execute Eddie Howe's tactical plan

Having already beaten Manchester United in the Carabao Cup this season, here are the 3 players who are crucial for Eddie Howe to repeat that success this weekend...

#1 Tino Livramento

Assuming it will be Tino Livramento that starts at left-back, it will be a crucial performance for the youngster as he seeks to get past Aaron Wan-Bissaka. His England counterpart who plays for Man United is one of the best defensive full-backs in the Premier League, so Livramento will rely on his attacking exploits to beat Wan-Bissaka.

It was also Livramento who was controversially penalised against PSG, so he'll look for another good display against United to build his confidence up.

#2 Jamaal Lascelles

Coming up against the immensely physical Rasmus Hojlund, the experienced captain Jamaal Lascelles will call upon his experience to know when and where to commit. Furthermore, he has a trick or two up his sleeve, so he will want to involve himself in some feisty battles with the United striker.

#3 Alexander Isak

Although they are in pretty good form at the moment, the Manchester United defence is capable of a mistake. Harry Maguire particularly is known to crumble under pressure, so Alexander Isak should use his poacher's instinct to watch Maguire's every move. Isak is our top goal scorer in the Premier League this season, tied with super-sub Callum Wilson. Having scored in his last two games in all competitions, I fancy Isak to get on the score sheet in this one.
