Newcastle United news: Should Eddie Howe be worried by Jose Mourinho sacking?
So, today's Newcastle United news begs the question - Should Eddie Howe be worried about Jose Mourinho's sacking at Roma?
Well, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Howe should be worried. The Italian outlets claim that Newcastle United's owners are in favour of bringing in a top class manager to replace Eddie Howe after his poor run of form. As far as top managers go, there aren't many better than Jose Mourinho and now he's available, Howe will be under a lot more scrutiny.
Personally, I would stick with Eddie Howe. I am not jumping on the bandwagon calling for Howe to be sacked as this would be utterly ridiculous. Howe has done a phenomenal job at Newcastle and anyone else in his position dealing with our injuries would have done a far worse job. If anything, he's had a good season considering all the odds stacked against us.
At least until the end of the season, the board should stick with Eddie Howe. If we miss the opportunity to land Jose Mourinho, then so be it - At least we would miss the opportunity by sticking with our core club morals, some of which have been forgotten about in recent seasons.
