However, in a recent update from The Guardian, it is believed that Kieran Trippier is still of interest to Bayern Munich, and they are not prepared to give up their pursuit yet. WIthin the article, it is said that Bayern Munich will test Newcastle's resolve by offering a new and improved bid for Kieran Trippier.

Earlier today, we reported that Newcastle were not interested in selling Kieran Trippier and for good measure, they don't want to sell Callum Wilson either. It remains to be seen whether or not this resolve is tested by Bayern but it must be said that there are some offers which simply cannot be refused.

Kieran Trippier has been one of our best players this season and in big games, he has proved why he should be the first name in every Eddie Howe team sheet. However, the club will know that his time is running thin and ageing at 33 years old, he doesn't have much longer to play at the level he has shown at St James Park.

In fact, at times already this season, Trippier has shown that fatigue can easily catch up with him as he has shown periods of bad form. While I don't think selling him this January is the way to go, if an improved offer comes in for Trippier then it could be tempting for Newcastle, particularly with FFP breathing down their necks.
