The England international was the first major signing for Newcastle United after the takeover in January 2022 and has played a key role in last season's successful campaign, ending with qualifying for the Champions League.
However, Bayern Munich are looking to sign a full-back, and talks have broken down in agreeing a loan deal with Paris Saint-Germain for Nordi Mukiele. With Thomas Tuchel confirming his side is looking to strengthen at right-back, the German giants are gunning for Trippier.

It has been well documented that Newcastle are struggling for funds this window with FFP and the Premier League's own Profit and Sustainability Rules. So a swap deal could be an attractive option with Tino Livramento well suited to replace Trippier at right-back.
The saving grace for Newcastle could be Trippier's reluctance to move abroad again. The defender had a successful spell at Atletico Madrid culminating in winning La Liga. However, he was keen to return with his family to England, so it would take a lot to get him to return to Europe.
