Newcastle United are having a very tough time with the fitness of their squad. The injury crisis they are facing is probably the worst in the Premier League era. So many players are on the injury list of Newcastle. This is concerning for Eddie Howe and his men as the games will now come in thick and fast. Before the game against Nottingham Forest which Newcastle won by 3-2, Jacob Murphy got injured and couldn't feature in that game. Before that, Newcastle's forward player Alexander Isak got injured as well. However, the Magpies were happy to see the return of their experienced campaigner Callum Wilson from injury. But, the happiness did not last long as Eddie Howe provided an injury update on the striker, as Callum Wilson is out injured once again. He was having an issue with his shoulder after the game.

Eddie Howe couldn't afford to lose another forward player but, he might have the striker, Callum Wilson. After the end of the game against Forest, Eddie Howe spoke to Chronicle Live where he revealed that the Newcastle striker could be having a shoulder problem. He said,
"It's a slight concern for us after the game. His shoulder is fine but he looks like there is a problem with one of the muscles in his arm. We're hopeful it is not serious but at this moment we don't know."
