As per the latest Newcastle injury news, Eddie Howe gave a fresh injury update on Jacob Murphy when he told Chronicle Live;

""It doesn't go away. Jacob Murphy was unusable for us today, he didn't feel great in the warm-up. He had a tight calf.""

Eddie Howe understands the challenges that lie ahead for him and his team and he was happy that they were able to get the job done at the City Ground where they beat Nottingham Forest 3-2. He said;

"We are still getting challenges left, right and centre. But at this moment we are managing to come through those. Today was a massive result for us. It gives us a real big high off the back of last week where there were positives but it was a disappointing result. The players keep giving more and I could not be more proud of the players."
