Newcastle news: Eddie Howe provides fresh injury update on winger
The injury woes of Newcastle and Eddie Howe just not ending. Already so many players of the Magpies are recovering from injuries. Now, one more player looks like has been added to that list of injuries for Newcastle and the name of that player is Jacob Murphy. Eddie Howe has been reiterating the problem that Newcastle has been facing with injuries. He didn't have a good January transfer window either where he was looking to sign a few players. However, the Financial Fair Play rules strangled Eddie Howe's chances of signing a new player. With Murphy out injured, Howe will be hoping that the injury is now that serious and the Magpies' winger will be back soon with the team. If Eddie Howe wants to challenge for the top 4 spots and qualify for the Champions League next season, he cannot afford to have more injuries.
Newcastle injury news: Eddie Howe gives Jacob Murphy injury update
As per the latest Newcastle injury news, Eddie Howe gave a fresh injury update on Jacob Murphy when he told Chronicle Live;
""It doesn't go away. Jacob Murphy was unusable for us today, he didn't feel great in the warm-up. He had a tight calf.""
- Eddie Howe
Eddie Howe understands the challenges that lie ahead for him and his team and he was happy that they were able to get the job done at the City Ground where they beat Nottingham Forest 3-2. He said;
"We are still getting challenges left, right and centre. But at this moment we are managing to come through those. Today was a massive result for us. It gives us a real big high off the back of last week where there were positives but it was a disappointing result. The players keep giving more and I could not be more proud of the players."
