Newcastle United, on the back of a 1-0 win against Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup fixture, would face Everton at Goodison Park. However, even though the Magpies' display in the recent outing wasn't convincing, they would surely enter the fixture as favorites, having the backing of a brilliant PL performance against Manchester City. While surely Everton has been quite good enough in their recent games, the Magpies do stand a significant chance for an away win, given a solid past record against the Toffees club.

Newcastle United, currently at 11 points from the first six matchdays, would want to register 3 points against Sean Dyche's Everton side. On that note, let's take a look at the probable lineup Eddie Howe might use to outplay Everton:

Defense

Starting from the position of keeping, as has been much clearer from Nick Pope's performances so far, he would start as the undisputed starter for the Magpies club, given that he's available. Although the Englishman missed the Carabao Cup fixture due to knee issues, Pope might return against Everton, as Eddie Howe didn't seem much concerned about the player's injury.

Coming to the backline, there could be a major change by Eddie Howe in playing XI. In the game against Manchester City, veteran Kieran Trippier had looked uncomfortable in the end minutes, forcing him to be subbed soon. Moreover, with Tino Livramento being in good touch against Wimbledon, chances are that Howe might rest Trippier, utilizing prodigy full-back Livramanto for the role.

However, the rest of the backline is pretty much expected to be the same, with the duo of Fabian Schar and Dan Burn forming the heart of the club's defense and Lewis Hall joining them on the left flank. Considering the form the three have been in, much expectation would be for them to have a match-winning outing against Everton.

Midfield

Coming to the midfield, Eddie Howe might prefer to go with the same setup as his lineup against Manchester City, with Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, and Joelinton starting together. While there had been speculations about Tonali, as he had to be subbed off due to cramps in the last minutes against Manchester City, his being present on the Magpies' bench against Wimbledon indicates not much of an issue for his availability.

One of the major factors that helped Newcastle deliver an impressive performance in their last PL game was their midfield show. With Captain Bruno Guimaraes and powerhouse Joelinton coming in form against Manchester City, the trio would have much responsibility in their upcoming away clash against Everton.

Attack

In the attack force, star forward Alexander Isak missing the game due to a toe injury would need to be compensated by wing star Anthony Gordon upfront. On the left flank, Harvey Barnes, who has been brilliant so far, would lead the wing, having eyes on him to replicate his season heroics in the fixture.

For the right flank, Jacob Murphy could be the go-to man for Eddie Howe, considering his veteran star Miguel Almiron didn't look convincing in their recent outing. Marking his first start this season, the Paraguayan forward wasn't brilliant in the final third, and thus, Howe might resort back to Jacob Murphy for the role.
