Livramento's reliability in the right-back role
Once again, Newcastle was seen starting with their 21-year-old young prodigy, Livramento, starting in the right-back role. While the youngster's match performance seemed decent enough for his age, the Magpies club certainly needs a stable option for the role. Given his performance in the Southampton fixture, he looked ready enough to start in the big games; however, a mediocre show against Bournemouth means he would need some time to accommodate in the Premier League.
On the other hand, the 33-year-old veteran star, Kieran Trippier, looked much more comfortable, and the club might need him for at least a season more to give time to Livramento. Considering Trippier's departure talks, it becomes necessary for the Magpies club to retain him for some more time to allow a significantly smooth transition from him to the 21-year-old full-back. As Eddie Howe has been wanting, Trippier's availability would be a key factor not only for the full-back role but overall team stability.
