The summer transfer window is nearing its business end, with less than a week left in the event. However, it feels like the real hustle and heat has now started growing amongst the clubs to strengthen their 2024/25 campaign's roster. Something similar has been the case with Eddie Howe's Newcastle setup, with the club being the busiest name in the last days of the window.

Since the start of the transfer window, it has been Howe's longing to buy reinforcements for the center-back role and the wing position. However, it has been unfortunate that with the end stages of the window, the club finds itself nowhere near concrete talks for these reinforcements. In fact, the club seems more likely to end up losing some important players by the end of the deadline day.

Will the Magpies club lose its hold on the club's seasoned full-back?

One such rumor has been regarding the seasoned full-back, Trippier's, potential move. While Newcastle took off the armband from the 33-year-old, naming Guimaraes the new lead, and with Livramento being preferred over the veteran full-back, Trippier took over to ask for a move. However, what's concerning is that recent reports from Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano have cited Trippier's leaving chances as concrete.

While speaking to Give Me Sport, Fabrizio Romano mentioned a 50% chance that Newcastle will lose their star right-back before Friday. Speaking to the media house, Fabrizio reported Everton's interest in signing Tripper. He said,

""It’s true that Everton are one of the clubs interested, but at the moment, they still don’t have any kind of agreement or anything advanced for Trippier.""

Not to forget that Kieran Trippier was once on the verge of leaving for AC Milan in a swap deal for Malick Thiaw, but the club's signing of Emerson had stopped the operations. Recalling the same, Fabrizio further mentioned that the 33-year-old could attract other clubs and has concrete chances of leaving. Romano mentioned,

""There could be other clubs, and I think the possibility for Trippier to leave is not guaranteed, but concrete.”"

Analyzing from Newcastle's perspective, a potential move of Trippier could prove fatal for their long campaign ahead, and despite having youngsters like Livramento, the Magpies club can't afford to lose on him. While further reports regarding the full-back's future are yet to arrive, Howe's side must try to keep him at the club.
