Newcastle United's 2024/25 summer transfer window was quite an underwhelming one. Failing to land in key desired reinforcements, a prolific center-back and a right-wing prodigy, the Magpies club entered the new season with almost the same roster. Although the side was initially off to some brilliant results, fate hasn't been going their way lately, as they find themselves winless from 4 PL matchdays.

Considering the same, it has been reported that the club would resume their reinforcement process in January, as they prioritize a right-wing signing. So far in the season, neither of the two Toon stars, Jacob Murphy and Miguel Almiron, has been convincing in the role, making this one of their weakest links. Understandably, the Tyneside club has started looking for more options, with them being monitoring another PL star, as per recent reports.

25-year-old Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo has been recently linked to Newcastle, with the winger being named as the club's dream signing in 2025. Although he has been an integral part of the Bees' setup for quite a while now, the wing star is now getting the attention he deserves. Being on the back of a brilliant 2023/24 campaign, where he contributed 15 goals in just 27 appearances, the Cameroonian winger has been unstoppable this season.

Recently, the 25-year-old gave yet another breathtaking display as he portrayed why he has been cited as Newcastle's ideal signing. In Brentford's PL matchday against Ipswich Town, the wing forward was crucial in helping his side pull off one of the best comebacks this season. After Wissa ignited a potential comeback, Bryan's calm, composed finish from the penalty spot, followed by his crucial late winner, shone for the Bees once again.

With this performance, Bryan has once again auditioned for some of the biggest European names for a potential move for himself next year. As per the current scenario, even though Newcastle's club fans are insisting on seeing the wing star at St. James next year, nothing stands very promising in transfer talks. Although the next transfer window is still months away, the Magpies fans would hope that the club considers him closely before deciding on a move.
