Newcastle transfer news – Agbonlahor says Howe will sign Aaron Ramsdale
According to polarising pundit Gabby Agbonlahor, Newcastle will need to replace Nick Pope in the coming years, so to him, the obvious answer is Aaron Ramsdale of Arsenal. The reason for the need to replace Nick Pope is that he isn’t a modern goalkeeper and according to Agbonlahor, the Magpies must consider signing a goalkeeper who is better with the ball at his feet.
The England shot-stopper Ramsdale would be a direct replacement in a move which would benefit all parties since he isn’t getting game time at the Emirates Stadium at the moment. Certainly, Ramsdale is better with the ball at his feet but given how well Pope plays for us, I cannot say I fully agree with Agbonlahor.
Newcastle transfer news – All-clear given for PIF inter-transfers
In case you missed it, Newcastle have upset Premier League teams in recent weeks since news broke about us trying to sign Ruben Neves from Saudi Arabia. Essentially, we share the same owners as Al-Hilal (PIF), so to certain clubs an inter-transfer of this kind could be deemed as unfair.
However, results have emerged from the recent petition attempt and hilariously, not enough teams signed the petition for Premier League to make this a law. Therefore, we are free to trade with PIF-operates sides.
As far as Ruben Neves is concerned, though, it doesn’t look like he wants a move away from Saudi Arabia.
Newcastle transfer news – Scott McTominay impresses on international duty
Over the last few transfer windows, we have consistently been linked with a move for Scott McTominay. It remains to be seen whether we will be linked with the Manchester United midfielder in January but given the suspension to Sandro Tonali, it makes sense.
According to Shields Gazette, the Scotland international has been praised for his magnificent displays on international break.
