Just as Newcastle were picking up momentum and mounting a top four charge in a very impressive season for them. Bruno Guimaraes suffered an unfortunate ankle injury. Admittedly, it looked worse than it turned out to be at the time.

This ankle injury saw Bruno Guimaraes out of action for just shy of three weeks, missing three matches of action for Newcastle. Eventually, he returned towards the end of the same month, starting in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester United – A game which unfortunately, we lost.

Towards the start of the 2022/23 season, his first full season in a Newcastle jersey, the Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes suffered a hamstring injury. Ultimately, it would see him ruled out of contention under Eddie Howe for three weeks, missing three Newcastle matches. He would return in a 1-1 home draw against Bournemouth, playing 72 minutes as a starter.
