A popular FPL midfielder, Bruno Guimaraes has been served a suspension, meaning he will miss Bournemouth vs Newcastle at the weekend.
As Newcastle United prepare to face Bournemouth away from home in the Premier League this weekend, their starting eleven is difficult to predict. Not only do they have some injuries to key players, but they play in midweek in the Champions League. The result of this match could dictate how Eddie Howe lines up his side.

One thing can be said for sure, though. That is Bruno Guimaraes won’t play in this match. It is something that cannot be helped, as he is suspended due to a succession of yellow cards. The yellow card he picked up against Arsenal tipped this count over the edge, and he will be punished by serving a suspension.
Annoyingly, the Newcastle midfielder didn’t need to pick up this yellow card as it was due to poor discipline, which is probably why he was on the verge of suspension in the first place.

Anyway, given that 2.4% of FPL managers own Bruno Guimaraes, I would recommend benching him or, if you can, transfer him out. He sits on 32 points for the season so far which is quite impressive for a player in his position but ideally, you should bring in an attacking midfielder, since Howe does not use Bruno in this way. Although, he is likely to pick up bonus points as a key Newcastle man in the centre of the park.
