Newcastle team news

Doesn’t look great for Newcastle. As we have addressed already, there is a HUGE injury pile, meaning many key players won’t be involved in the squad. In fact, there are 12 players who will be out of action for Eddie Howe tomorrow. To read more about those, click below.

For the home team, the injury list a little kinder. Head coach Edin Terzic only has three players out of contention through injury. Those players include Emre Can, Julien Duranville and Mateu Morey.

Dortmund vs Newcastle score prediction

The reverse fixture was a close match, although Newcastle never came out of first gear in truth. This time out, it will be much more difficult, with the growing injury list and, of course, being the away team.

However, Eddie Howe knows that he can’t lose this match. Otherwise, his chances of progression are limited. Still, I cannot see a win for a Magpies, but I expect them to be defensively solid and play for a goalless draw, similar to when they faced AC Milan at the San Siro. Therefore, my match prediction is Dortmund 0-0 Newcastle.
