Miguel Almiron thigh problems, March 2023

This is the second mid-term injury which has ruled out Miguel Almiron since he signed for Newcastle but his first mid-term spell out for four years thankfully.

Towards the end of Newcastle’s epic 2022/23 season, Almiron was sidelined due to problems with his thigh. Ultimately he was out for a month and returned in time for the end of the season.

Miguel Almiron suffered a knee injury for the first time in his Newcastle spell. Thankfully, though, it only ruled him out for two matches, as he returned to full fitness a fortnight after.

In the middle of his second season, Almiron picked up an unfortunate hamstring injury. It was only a short-term injury, since he soon returned to action after missing one game. He would’ve liked a better return though, since he started in the 4-1 loss against Manchester United

In Newcastle’s 3-1 win against Southampton in the 2018/19 season (the one where Perez scored a hat-trick, I’m sure you’ll remember), Miguel Almiron had to be subbed off due to injury. It was the first injury since he signed for Newcastle that season and it was a mid-term injury.

It was an injury which ruled him out for the rest of the season.
