Newcastle United will be taking on Burnley this weekend in a very important Premier League game. Here is the Newcastle predicted lineup vs Burnley.

After beating Manchester City in the Carabao Cup game, Newcastle will be on a high. Nobody gave the Magpies a chance in that game. However, due to a resilient defensive performance from Eddie Howe’s men, they will now set their sight on Burnely in a very important Premier League fixture at St. James’ Park. The Tyneside has kept four clean sheets in their last 4 games and they will be looking to make it 5 in a row. So, it will be interesting to see how Eddie Howe would line up the Magpies for this crucial game. So, here is the Newcastle predicted lineup vs Burnley.

So, let’s begin this discussion of the Newcastle predicted lineup against Burnley with the formation of Eddie Howe. Newcastle United would go with a 4-3-3 formation the way he has set up the Magpies throughout this season. In between the sticks, Howe would surely trust Nick Pope who has been in terrific form helping the Tyneside keep 4 clean sheets in a row.

When it comes to the back four for Newcastle, Kieran Trippier will start as the right-back for sure. The two centre-backs for the Magpies will be Fabian Schar and Sven Botman. Also, it is highly expected that Dan Burn will be the left-back as Matt Targett’s performance against City was underwhelming.

In the midfield, Eddie Howe would start Sean Longstaff who has performed brilliantly so far. To partner with him, Bruno Guimaraes will be his obvious choice. Bruno is also on the verge of extending his contract with the Magpies. Now, keeping that PSG game in mind, Howe might start Elliot Anderson instead of Sandro Tonali who surely underperformed against Man City.

As far as the forward line goes for Newcastle, Anthony Gordon is a sure starter in the left wing and Miguel Almiron might start at the right wing. Now, even though Isak got the all-important goal against City, Howe might start Callum Wilson who looked good so far this season.
