A lot of rumours have surrounded Newcastle United over the past few weeks and months. It is safe to say that there is a lot of interest regarding what the Magpies will do in the summer transfer window. They already showed their intent in January by splashing out around £90 million in transfer fees and are expected to make some big moves this summer as well.

While most of the rumours have been regarding players that they could end up signing, it will also be important for the club to part ways with some in order to make space in the squad while also boosting their transfer budget.

And now, it looks like seven Newcastle United players could potentially be headed for the St James’ Park exit door in the summer.

As reported by The Telegraph (via Express), Matt Ritchie, Ciaran Clark, Karl Darlow, Federico Fernandes, Isaac Hayden, Jeff Hendrick and Dwight Gayle could all leave Newcastle United if the right offer arrives.

Thus, it is pretty safe to say that the squad could look very different come next season. It must also be pointed out though that just because Newcastle United want to let players leave does not mean that it will happen.

As a result, it will be interesting to see how things turn out for the Magpies in the summer, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

They have been linked with several high-profile names in recent weeks like Philippe Coutinho, Darwin Nunez, Victor Osimhen, Hugo Ekitike, Kepa Arrizabalaga and many more. Now, let’s see how many they are able to sign.

Considering the majority of the rumours that have surrounded the club, it does feel like they are looking for a striker, a goalkeeper, a centre-back and a midfielder at least.
