Newcastle United picked up a big point earlier this week when they finished level with Liverpool. The result and performance was a stark contrast to recent matches by the club, and Newcastle will try to keep the momentum going against Leicester City tomorrow.

Newcastle United: Matty Longstaff

The young midfielder got his first two Premier League starts this season in the last two matches. His energy has been a welcome addition to the middle of the park and a lot of NUFC supporters are passionate that he should be a lock in the starting lineup.

Against Leicester, Longstaff will need to turn in another stellar performance, allowing his work rate to stifle the Foxes in the midfield and turn defense into offense.

NUFC Availablity Update

Steve Bruce didn’t indicate that any additional players will be available against Leicester City. That would mean that he will still be without Jamaal Lascelles, Allan Saint-Maximin, Paul Dummett, Javier Manquillo, Ryan Fraser, and Isaac Hayden, who is suspended.

They keep the same energy from the draw vs. Liverpool. The Magpies looked like a completely different club vs. Liverpool than they did in recent weeks. There was a sense of urgency at both ends of the pitch and Karl Darlow picked up a well-deserved clean sheet. Against Leicester, Newcastle will need to stay locked in, just like they did midweek, to avoid another lopsided defeat vs. the Foxes.
