Newcastle United get a boost of reinforcements ahead of a crucial match vs. Crystal Palace.

Last weekend, Newcastle United lacked attacking punch in a 2-0 loss to Chelsea. But, with key players returning from injury this week, the Magpies will look to bounce back in a matchup vs. a beatable Crystal Palace side.

Player to Watch

Newcastle United: Callum Wilson

The star striker returns after a hamstring injury kept him out vs. Chelsea and his scoring ability will be needed as Newcastle look to win on the road. With the close recent results between these two clubs, he could be the difference-maker in a hotly-contested match.

Crystal Palace: Michy Batshuayi

With Wilfried Zaha out again after a positive COVID-19 test, the responsibility to score will fall to the Chelsea loanee. The Bat, who has been linked with a Newcastle move multiple times, has not scored yet this season but does have one assist.

NUFC Availability Update

Great news on the injury front for the Magpies. Steve Bruce confirmed Jonjo Shelvey, Matt Ritchie, and Callum Wilson are all healthy and should feature vs. Palace. Dwight Gayle is also back in training. On the other hand, Jamaal Lascelles is a question mark for tomorrow and Ryan Fraser is out.

Next. Newcastle will regret not selling this player last summer. dark

Newcastle United will win if…

They are the aggressor at Selhurst Park. With Wilson and Shelvey back, Newcastle have all of their important pieces needed to score goals. Despite this being an away match, Bruce should make sure his side establishes themselves and presses the action. Without Zaha, Palace have struggled mightily in the top flight and Newcastle must take advantage.
