With Newcastle United needing goals and Michy Batshuayi needing match time, the two parties are made for one another.

Sometimes, there are matches in sports that just seem perfect for all parties involved. This summer, Newcastle United will be looking for goals. Also, Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi will be looking for a new home that gives him a chance to impress ahead of the Euros next summer. Newcastle United, meet The Batsman. Michy, meet the Magpies.

In the past, Batshuayi has been hesitant to leave the Blues. But, the latest rumblings are that he wants to leave now to establish himself again to earn a selection of the Belgian national team. At Chelsea, he finds himself behind incoming star Timo Werner, a reinvigorated Olivier Giroud, and breakout performer Tammy Abraham.

With the struggles of Joelinton, Dwight Gayle, Andy Carroll, and Yoshinori Muto, a new striker must walk through the doors for Newcastle United and why not Michy? He’s only 26 years old, which should be in the age range that Mike Ashley is comfortable with, and he’s produced when he’s had the chance to be “the guy” up top for a club.

There’s been some rumors in the past between NUFC and Batshuayi, but this summer seems like the best time for both parties. It’s not too accurate for the most part, but TransferMarkt has his value around 15 million, which is a very fair fee for a player of his caliber. We will see if both parties decide to do the right thing and form a union.
