Newcastle United are reportedly interested in the Crystal Palace star winger, who would be a great addition.

Following links to the trio of Juventus players and countless others, Newcastle United are reportedly on the hunt for one of the most exciting attacking players in the Premier League. According to The Sun, Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha is on the wishlist of the prospective new owners.

A serious target of Everton and Arsenal in the past, the 27-year-old seems ready to leave Palace for greener pastures. While at the moment Newcastle wouldn’t fit that bill, the club being taken over and receiving such a huge investment would definitely qualify them. Zaha is experiencing a down year with three goals and five assists in the EPL, but those five assists are two more than NUFC’s leader this season.

Over the past three seasons, he has 26 goals and 26 assists in Premier League play and he’s electric dribbling the ball and running at defenders.

If Newcastle United brings in the Ivory Coast international, Miguel Almiron would be able to slip into the number 10 role, where Steve Bruce confirmed he’s at his best. Obviously, Allan Saint-Maximin has occupied the left wing this season for the club, but he and Zaha both have experience on the left side and right side. When it comes to adding this talented of a player, you will make it work rather than disregarding him because there’s already a quality option at his position. Zaha has also played some matches as a number 9 and that would give the attack even more versatility.

The Magpies could enter next season with Saint-Maximin and Zaha on the wings with Almiron playing down the middle. Whoever is the starting striker would be getting quality service and avoiding the defense being able to lock in on them with such talented players surrounding him.

It won’t be a cheap move, rumored to be upwards of 50 million, but it would be a signing that can help energize a Newcastle attack that has been dormant for years.
