Reportedly, Newcastle United have three targets playing for the Italian giants.

With the ownership takeover still going through the processes, Newcastle United are still being linked with players that the new ownership may have an eye on. In recent days, that attention has taken us to Italy, specifically with the Italian juggernauts, Juventus. Not only do they want one player, but apparently, they want three. According to TuttoJuve, the Magpies are interested in Douglas Costa, Aaron Ramsey, and Adrien Rabiot.

For Newcastle, adding Ramsey and Rabiot would be a matter of improving an already deep position. They would join a midfield group that includes Jonjo Shelvey, Isaac Hayden, the Longstaff Bros., and potentially, Nabil Bentaleb. The two Juve players would be considered an improvement on most of those in-house options for the Magpies and can both get forward to assist in the attack. Ramsey also brings considerable experience in the Premier League with nearly 300 total appearances for Arsenal.

When it comes to Douglas Costa, the Brazilian winger’s arrival could allow Miguel Almiron to move inside as a number 10, something we always mention as a positive for Newcastle moving forward. But, Costa has struggled in a big way the last two seasons. After registering 12 assists in 31 Serie A matches back in 2017-18, he has three in 31 matches over the last two seasons combined. A change of scenery could do wonders for the 29-year-old.

Moving for this entire trio would not be cheap with the transfer fees and considerable wages, but if the new owners have them towards the top of their list, they would definitely be adding some proven, top-flight players.
