After a rough run of form, Newcastle United could get back on track vs. Wolves.

Newcastle United are winless in their last four matches, including a 1-1 draw vs. Rochdale last weekend. Next up, the Magpies will travel to face Wolves tomorrow. We preview the Premier League fixture.

Where the Clubs Stand

Newcastle United: 13th position, 25 points, -13 goal differential

Wolverhampton: 7th position, 30 points, +3 goal differential

Opposing Players to Watch

Raul Jimenez: In EPL action, the Mexican international leads the club in both goals and assists, eight and six respectively. He’s added three goals and two assists in the Europa League this season.

Joao Moutinho: The veteran central midfielder has racked up six assists this season. He has a club-highs in tackles and passes.

Adama Traore: Despite somehow not lifting weights, Traore is looking very strong lately, literally and figuratively. Flying up and down the right flank, the 23-year-old has four goals and four assists.

Analysis

Newcastle United will feel confident entering this match if their reinforcements are ready. Decimated by injuries over the last month, multiple players have returned to training and adding some key pieces back will help Steve Bruce’s side immensely.

Like the Magpies, Wolves are in a bit of a negative run. After an upset win over Manchester City in the final minutes, they lost two straight Premier League matches before finishing level with Manchester United in the FA Cup.

Playing on the road, Newcastle United will likely bunker down at Molineux Stadium. They will rely on the counter-attack as they often do, but a set piece might be their best chance for a goal, especially if Jamaal Lascelles suits up.

Predictions

Durim Halimi: 1-1, draw
