A Schar Thing

An exciting summer arrival, we’re glad you came/Not even a season in and you already have Tyneside fame

Against Cardiff City, you could not miss/ The first was class, the second a slight Swiss kiss

Good in defense but not afraid to go forward/We better end this now before our love goes overboard

Just kidding, our love for you is unashamed/Our January Player of the Month, unanimously named

Ki To Our Hearts

Our beloved Ki Sung-Yeung, the Asian Cup forced us apart/But, you pull the strings in the midfield of our heart

We’re glad you’re back and hope you heal fast/Because we need you to control the match and make the key pass

Just Called To Say Hay-den

You wanted to leave, but we kept you around/In this week’s match, you didn’t let us down

A crucial goal, which should have given us the win/You tried to escape our love, but we had to keep you in

Injuries have made you a crucial piece/We hope you decide to extend your Tyneside lease

We bought you from the Gunners, a quality deal/A defensive midfielder by nature and its our hearts that you steal

The Target (Man) of Our Love

Rafa wanted you desperately as his number nine/When you are healthy, you play more than just fine

A powerful player that’s bagged us some goals/Watching you play striker is good for our souls

When marking you, no defenders want to rumble/When playing with your back to goal, they all start to crumble

After the season, your loan will come to an end/But, we hope to sign you permanently, our Venezuelan friend
