14th – Swansea City

Fixtures remaining: Man Utd (2nd), West Brom (20th), Everton (9th), Man City (1st), Chelsea (5th), Bournemouth (12th), Stoke (19th), Southampton (date TBD, 17th)

A drastic improvement in form since Carlos Carvalhal’s arrival in South Wales has seen Swansea move from relegation favourites to 14th position. Four points above the drop, the Swans have the second-easiest remaining schedule of the bottom eight sides, facing opponents with an average position of 11th.

Games against Stoke and Southampton are huge for Carvalhal’s side, although Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have the potential to ruin Swansea’s campaign provided they fail to capitalise on the more favourable aforementioned fixtures.

West Brom will likely be an easy three points, but Swansea will have to prove their quality against both Everton and Bournemouth who won’t just roll over for them. A -17 goal difference is a solid advantage considering other relegation-threatened sides, although it will be important for the Swans to keep the score down against the two Manchester clubs in particular.

Swansea have won two of their last five games, losing only once. It would be a surprise for them to see the drop given current form, but they could be stretched a little thin provided their FA Cup campaign continues with a quarter-final win over Spurs.
