Newcastle United’s target men each bring something different to the table in FIFA 18.

If you being your FIFA 18 with Newcastle United or you’re scouting the clubs strikers, it’s important to know how they stack up with one another. Just as they do in real life, Dwight Gayle, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Joselu bring vastly different skill-sets to the position. Depending on the type of target man you’re looking for, one may be better than the other for your system. Here’s a breakdown of the FIFA 18 trio up top for Newcastle United:

Dwight Gayle

Most FIFA gamers look for speed from their forwards. Gayle is far and away the fastest of the three players. His sprint speed is 82, compared to 63 for Joselu and 64 for Mitro. Gayle is also the best of the trio on free kick accuracy. If you’re looking for the quickest option for the Magpies, it’s Gayle by a comfortable margin, who also holds wide advantages in acceleration and agility.

While he may not be as fun to control as Gayle, Mitro is a handful for FIFA defenses to deal with. Opposite of his speed ratings, the Serbian is remarkably physical. His strength is the best of the group at 84, 13 points ahead of second best Joselu. He’s also much more aggressive than the other two, one point shy of a 90 rating in that category. His jumping is also tops among the three. He is the only one with a “trait”, earning a power header distinction. Sign Mitrovic if you are looking for a strong, powerful striker to hold the ball up for your virtual side.

Joselu

Newcastle United’s current first choice striker is a good mix of Gayle and Mitrovic. His pace ratings are slightly better than Mitro’s, but his skill on the ball is actually better than Gayle. He has the best ball control and dribbling in the group, as well as curve. He won’t blaze by defenders on the game, but he’s able to keep possession due to his control and skills on with the ball at his feet.
