Newcastle United is fresh off a victory against Brentford this past Saturday. Morale is high, and the form is there to take down Barnsley.
In Barnsley’s last three matches, they lost two and drew one. They’re desperate for a win, and to get it against the magpies would be a serious mood booster.

So far so good for Karl Darlow. After Matz Sels has been sitting out, Karl Darlow has not disappointed, leading the magpies to strong victories thanks to quality goalkeeping. Against Brentford, he let in only one goal, and that was due to Scott Hogan being a goalscoring machine.
Rafa Benitez has praised Darlow’s goalkeeping, and we can never forget just how good he was when thrown to the wolves in the latter part of last season during Newcastle United’s ill-fated campaign in the Premier League.
Call it bias (which it is), but Darlow wins in this position.
