Newcastle United are on a slow walk towards relegation from the Barclays Premier League.

Their defeat to Norwich City leaves them six points away from safety with only seven games to go – and some fans are losing hope that they will stay up.

The last time the Magpies got relegated to the Championship they bounced back up the season after, thanks to goals from Andy Carroll.

The big striker used his time in the second division well, and was sold to Liverpool for a massive £35m just half a year into his debut top flight campaign.
