Newcastle United take on Sunderland on Sunday without the Mackam Slayer Shola Ameobi.

Ameobi earned that nickname after a series of matches against the Black Cats in which he had hit the back of the net – and gave his best performances in a black and white shirt.

He was also cool, calm and composed when taking penalties, something that is required in the pressure cooker environment of a local derby.

Aleksandar Mitrovic, Seydou Doumbia and Ayoze Perez will be tasked with carrying the baton from Ameobi – although none have managed to fire so far this season.

Steven Taylor and Jack Colback are the only Geordies in the squad, and Taylor will be especially pumped up for the game.

But this article isn’t about him, it’s about the Mackam Slayer – so click through the slides to see his best five goals against Sunderland.
