Five of Jonjo Shelvey’s best goals
Newcastle United have signed Jonjo Shelvey from Swansea City.
The former Liverpool man has joined the Tynesiders on for a £12m fee, and is expected to be ready to take some part in the game against West Ham United on Saturday.
The Magpies have already made one capture in the January transfer window so far: Henri Saivet joined from Bordeaux last night for a £4.5m fee and on a five-year contract.

Several media outlets have also reported that Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend is a target, although his fee of around £14m might present a stumbling block for Newcastle.
The box to box midfielder will provide a threat from distance, as well as increased physicality in the middle of the park.
