Five of Henri Saivet’s best goals
Newcastle United have signed Bordeaux midfielder Henri Saivet on a five-year contract.
Saivet joins the Magpies from French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, the same club that Yoan Gouffran was signed from in 2013.
The midfielder used to play out wide, but has been converted to a central midfielder and has occupied that position for the last few seasons.

In 18 league appearances this season, Saivet has scored two goals and assisted none. Despite that, his WhoScored rating is a strong 7.31, with a passing accuracy of 81%.
His most productive season was during 2013/2014, when he hit the back of the net six times and assisted eight fives times.
