Mike Williamson

When Mike Williamson was sent out on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers, it looked like his Newcastle United career was dead.

However, a spate of injuries to defenders saw him recalled as cover, and there may still be life in the old dog yet.

At the age of 32, he may not have many more Magpies games left in him – and the last six months of his contract will probably be the end of his time at St. James’ Park.
