Kevin Mbabu
At the start of the season, Kevin Mbabu was nowhere near being awarded a new deal. However, the decision by Steve McClaren to throw him into the first team against Chelsea paid off.
After two good performances, injury struck – but Mbabu is now pushing for a starting place once again and is likely to be awarded with a new deal.
McClaren clearly rates the player, and he is worth another year or two to see how he can develop.
Next: Sylvain Marveaux
