Newcastle United has had a decent start to the 2024/25 PL campaign; however, it could have been much better. Although the club has 12 points from the seven matchdays so far, the Magpies club has failed to look convincing consistently, looking much sloppy in some instances while being brilliant in others. However, as the club approaches the PL action return, they expect a major boost in their squad strength.

As per reports, Newcastle forward star duo Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson seem to be ready to return, preparing for their upcoming fixture against Brighton. Moreover, what has been brilliant for the club is the club's first team training session ahead of their home game, which hosted a number of fresh, exciting faces. With 18-year-old prodigy Lewis Miley returning to training, Newcastle had also called ace prodigy Anthony Munda to train with the senior team.
Munda, who has one of the club's most exciting prospects, being a regular name in their U-21 side, has been given the chance to train with the first team once again. So far this season, the 18-year-old has a goal and an assist to his name, with the goal coming in Newcastle U21's 1-1 draw with Sunderland, which involved the likes of first-team names Kieran Trippier and Matt Target.
Not to forget, the Magpies club's homegrown talent, Anthony Munda, has had a decent preseason campaign with the club, making appearances in their wins against Hull City and Brest. Given the talent the midfield prodigy possesses, Munda definitely has the chance to become one of the crucial components of the senior team in the future.
In fact, the 18-year-old had expressed such a desire after his amazing performance in the 1-1 draw against Sunderland. The Toon prodigy mentioned that while he looks up to star players Joelinton and Joe Willock, he wishes to surpass them, making his place in the club's first-team playing XI. Munda mentioned,
"“I look up to the likes of Joelinton and Joe Willock, but, at the end of the day, I want to try and surpass them and make my own place in the first-team squad.”"
- Anthony Munda
As per the current Newcastle setup, Brazilian ace Joelinton and ace star Joe Willock are significantly crucial for Howe's playing XI; however, it sounds boosting that Munda wants to surpass the two midfield stars. Newcastle fans would hope that the 18-year-old prodigy goes on to establish himself in the club's first XI, taking forward the club's legacy.
