Newcastle United's 2024/25 season hasn't gone the way they would have expected it to. Even though they have 12 points from the seven PL matchdays so far, their overall unit has looked rather inconsistent, being winless in the last 3 games. While certainly, the rough phase of some of the club's big names has been detrimental for them, Eddie Howe's side has had one of the most injury-inflicted squads this season.

However, after the ongoing international break, the Magpies club could have a major boost as they expect key players to be back. As per reports, Newcastle's forward duo Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson seem to have the right momentum to make it back to the squad for the club's upcoming fixture against Everton. On top of that, recent sources suggest another crucial prodigy's return for the side.

18-year-old midfield prodigy Lewis Miley after being out for around 7 months, is set to return soon. Although the prodigy was expected to be back much earlier, Miley, after facing a metatarsal fracture, had to be sidelined for much more time. As per sources, Lewis Miley has been spotted with his Magpies teammates ahead of their fixture against Brighton, hinting at a significant recovery in the player's condition.

While certainly Miley's presence for any Magpies game soon is questionable, with Eddie Howe and staff being extremely cautious about the player, his return to training is a significant positive. Considering the midfielder's last campaign, before injuries, Miley was an integral part of Newcastle's setup, showcasing his brilliance, just being 17 years old at that time. Even though he didn't end the campaign the way he would have wanted, falling to consecutive injuries, Miley would hope to return better this time.

From Newcastle's perspective, Miley's update of being back in group training finds much significance in the club's favor. Not only does the midfielder's return guarantee manager Eddie Howe improved squad strength, but also an ace prodigy who holds immense potential to lead the club's future. Newcastle fans would hope that Miley returns back in action for the club soon, playing a key role in their season ahead.
