A show at Bristol and Brighton would go down a treat.

So, how did we do, and where will we be in two games?

Yesterday (as I write this) we did well at Aston Villa.  Not only did we improve as the match ensued, we also had some unexpected players do well.  Where do you go from here?  Winning, I hope.  With Mitrovic and Colback doing well yesterday, I hope their form continues, and others find the net in Gayle’s absence.

Bristol City are fourth from the bottom and they really need wins.  Not only will this match be scrappy, it’s a “must win” for both of us.  I see a tight win, possibly a 1-0, 2-1, or 2-0.  Those are a lot of guesses, and that’s because it’s hard to tell.  If we could tell, we would all be rich, right?

Mitrovic and Colback really need to continue their form in these next two matches (during Dwight Gayle’s absence) so that other players like Diame will perform better and hopefully pull out a “screamer”.  Jonjo Shelvey was sort of quiet and he is due a spectacular display. A show at Bristol and Brighton would go down a treat.

Moving on to the match after next, Brighton. Our league nemesis.  We can’t seem to shake them, after all, they are being managed by our beloved Chris Hughton.  He is experienced in this type of scenario, and will not go down easily.  The players will also not back down to any opposition, considering their situation right now.  They’re practically neck-and-neck with us.  No room to breathe, until we beat Brighton, if we beat Brighton.

Let’s keep the chanting and singing for our Magpies, our noise is what intimidates our adversaries. This is key in getting into the heads of our opponents.  If you’re far more fortunate than me to be able to go to every home (and some away) matches, you all must make a racket.  Let this be a rallying call not only to our team, but also to our fans.
