Where will Newcastle forward Miguel Almiron play next season
- Almiron can join another club in this transfer window.
- Premier League Fulham are interested in signing the versatile forward.
Newcastle United right wing forward Miguel Almiron can leave St. James Park in the remaining few days of the transfer window. Last season, Newcastle United forward Miguel Almiron struggled with goal scoring and only scored five goals and provided one assist for Eddie Howe's side. After a remarkable 2022/23 season where he scored more than ten Premier League goals, Almiron had a dip in form and has become the subject of a transfer away from Newcastle United in this transfer window.
Last month, Major League Soccer club Charlotte FC started negotiations with Newcastle United to bring the Paraguay forward back to the league, where he thrived before while playing for Atlanta United FC. Although Almiron agreed personal terms with Charlotte FC, the two clubs couldn't reach an agreement on the transfer fee and the MLS transfer window closed two weeks ago. A move back to the States sounded great as Almiron became a star in the Major League Soccer scoring 22 goals and providing 21 assists in 70 appearances for Atlanta United FC while winning the MLS Cup with them in the 2017/18 season.

But the move to Charlotte FC didn't happen, and now Almiron has made two appearances for the Magpies in this season. In the recent win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup, Almiron started the build up play on the first goal which was scored by Joe Willock inside 20 seconds in the match. However, like former captain Kieran Trippier, Almiron will get less playing time this season, if he stays at Newcastle United.
But, there are still high chances that he can join another club, with Premier League side Fulham interested in signing the versatile forward. However, according to a report from the
Daily Mail this move may not happen as Fulham don't want to pay around £25 million for signing Almiron. Thus, him staying at the Tyneside outfit looks most likely, but if he departs, then Newcastle United will have to bring in a left footed right wing forward to bolster their squad.
