CM - Bruno Guimaraes: Bruno G is often the first name on the team sheet and this is even more the case with the injury crisis in midfield at St James Park. The Brazil international will be key to controlling the midfield and winning the duels with opposing midfielders, thus keeping the tempo for Eddie Howe in the centre of the park.

CM - Lewis Miley: He is our diamond in the rough at the moment as everything the young lad touches turns into gold. He has benefitted from injuries and suspensions in the midfield this season but truthfully, I would find it hard to replace him in the starting eleven, even when players return.

CM - Sean Longstaff: Bridging the gap between midfield and attack will be Sean Longstaff, who will be a hidden gem for Eddie Howe as he plans to play progressive football and dominate possession. Longstaff is comfortable with the ball at his feet and his range of passing will be invaluable.
