There is a big game being played on Tuesday evening and it's the EFL Cup quarter final. With that in mind, here is the predicted Newcastle lineup vs Chelsea in order to maximise Eddie Howe's chances of a place in the semi finals...

Predicted Newcastle lineup vs Chelsea

GK - Martin Dubravka: The Slovak goalkeeper kept his first clean sheet since he was reintroduced to the main starting eleven at the weekend. That said, he will be full of confidence heading into this match, hoping to make it two clean sheets on the bounce.

RB - Emil Krafth: Krafth has played excellently in this competition already this season and having been laid off with that big injury rule-out, he will hope to stake his claim on the starting eleven with another key performance in this match.

CB - Jamaal Lascelles: The captain will be called upon again, as he has been an important player this season to cover the injury crisis. It's games like this where his leadership qualities are called upon.

CB - Sven Botman: Although it did come at the expense of other important players, it was great to see Sven Botman get a runout in the match against Fulham at the weekend. Therefore, I'm sure Eddie Howe has him in mind to step in for the injured Fabian Schar in this match.

LB - Dan Burn: The big man made an early return from injury to help the team out and he seems to be taking the speedy recovery program well. He got some more important minutes at the weekend against Fulham and even scored a goal which was great to see. He'll hope for another big display in this match.
