We can often be guilty of forgetting that football players are human beings as well. Just because they are paid unfathomable amounts, this doesn't mean they neglect the basic essentials such as friendship and family life. With that in mind, it's always nice to see when two players on the same team form an unmatched bond, particularly when it's two players you wouldn't expect.

Forming friendships at the club could be the difference between a settled and an unsettled player. This is why it's good that in the last few seasons, the team spirit has been electric at St James Park and footage which emerges from the club shows the brotherhood in the men's first team.

Alexander Isak is often at the heart of jokes and banter within the training sessions. He seems to have adopted everything it means to be a Newcastle player and although he can often seem like the prankster, it's easy to see why his teammates loved him.

When asked about his best friend in football, the answer seemed to be easy for Alexander Isak. Sky Sports posed the Sweden international the question, to which Isak replied: “I’d probably say Sven Botman, he sits next to me in the locker room. He’s a great guy. We spend a lot of time together.”

Isak and Botman joined Newcastle in the same transfer window and have since became staple players under Eddie Howe. Last season it was shown just how important they are, as they got Newcastle back into the Champions League as regular starters in the team. As a centre back and a striker, it's rare that they'd communicate on the pitch, but this doesn't stop their bromance outside of football.
