The January transfer window was a disaster for Newcastle as they could not sign any player due to Financial Fair Play restrictions. Now, they want to do some business in the summer and that is why they need cash. As Newcastle reported a loss in revenue, it becomes very likely that Newcastle will have to sell players to sign new players. Many Newcastle players are linked away from the club. Kieran Trippier was linked to Bayern Munich and Burno Guimaraes was linked to PSG last time around. However, this time, Newcastle midfielder Joelinton is negotiating a new contract with the club. However, if the talks fall through, his agents are already lining up new potential clubs for the Brazilian.

Newcastle transfer news: Joelinton to Bayern Munich

Joelinton is currently having contract talks with Newcastle with his contract set to expire in 2025. The 27-year-old is loved by Eddie Howe and Newcastle fans. However, if the contract talks fail, his agents are lining up some big clubs as his potential destination with the likes of Bayern Munich interested in the player, the Newcastle transfer news of Joelinton to Bayern Munich could become a reality.

Newcastle news: Joelinton new contract talks

Journalist Craig Hope while speaking on his YouTube channel gave an update on the new contract talks of Joelinton. He said;

"As far as I’m aware, there’s no update, no real progress per se. It remains the case that Joelinton has got an expectation of a salary [and] Newcastle are some way below that."

PIF has walked away from negotiations with players demanding an exponential salary. The likes of Lingard and Eketike are prime examples of that. However, Eddie Howe loves Joelinton and the player is nearing 30. So, having expectations of a high salary could prove to be a hurdle on the potential new contract and Newcastle might have to sell him to Saudi clubs or German clubs to make good money.
